I can't friggin' believe I'm still here. All, so I can invoice one fargin' skid of product for this month's books. And the fatheads who "need the numbers" are too stupid to realize that the phuckin' truck won't even pick the schit up until Tuesday. Glad I'm paid by the hour

Me too it's 8:41 EST.
Had to finish Water Quality Study and finalize report.
Drafting didn't get me the maps until this afternoon.
They were wrong, up until 5:00 I was editing the maps.
Still found several errors, must fix, update report, print, bind and get out by 7:00 am friday morning.

want some cheese with that whine:crybaby: :crybaby: !!!!!

I work 45-60hrs a week in the summer and 80-110hrs a week in the winter. You get the benefit of actually having a roof over your head and a heater or a/c blowing all day. I get to deal with 100+degree days and raining nights. I love my job though and I wouldnt trade the outdoors for 4 walls anywhere.

Once you've worked outside and got the freeddom of fresh air and eye candy, you will never go back inside.

Sorry your day was so long dude. I would go nuts being inside so long, looking at the same shit hour after hour, day after day.

You must work for Home Depot, I didn't know any other company had part-time employees work 13 hour shifts, with no break, and get about 46 hours in a week?

Heat yeah, AC no. Some days it's WAY hotter in than outside. And since our roof leaks like crazy, I'm not exactly out of the rain, either :flipoff2:

13???? Bllllllllllllllleeeeeeeeeeeehhhhhhhhh, I worked 21 hours straight running a printing press once. Nothing says Darwin like the chance of falling asleep and getting caught up in rollers churning out 10,000 sheets an hour :D

The longest shift I pulled was 36 hours straight in the field surveying a parking building that collapsed and killed several.

I have worked numerous 16 hour stretches, wasn't that bad because I actually liked my job.

Now that I don't like my current job as a desk jockey, 8 hours seems like and eternity.

Yup, I've done it too when what I was doing was important, or fun. Yesterday was neither, so that's the reason for the bitch.

Tell me about it! The Navy spent thousands to train me as a corpsman and what am I doing? Sitting behind a desk in the administration department pushing papers all day. My boss, a fawking yoeman (not that I have anything against yeoman). Have not seen a paitent in god knows how long:mad:

How about 46-48 in a single stretch, no naps.

Went from Friday afternoon till monday afternoon non stop. weather was bad(raining) and had about 3500 people out of service. Had to get it fixed before we could go home. Nobody could call 911 unless they had a cell phone. It sucked bad but when your cold, wet, and focused it is easy to go for a long stretch without sleep.

I woulda traded that in a heartbeat for what I Was doing.

I was sitting at a desk, having to pretty much type and think. I've found it much easier to be runing around and physically active for 48 hour stretches, then just sitting there.
