I was bored, looking at my MAP BOOK, when i saw that what apears to look like a 4wd road that conects basi falls (area) with the barret lake jeep trail which begins at Dark Lake..
Any one know anything about this?

I believe it's long abandoned/grown over.
But walkable??

There is a marked hiking trail in that area but I don't remember it's name. It doesn't say Bassi Falls.

Aggro knows that area like the back of his hand. He should be able to help.

all i can can say is unless ya want 100 people up there ASAP, i'd remove that map from the board.

Barrett is CLOSED for the winter and that trail is only a foot path. NO VEHICLES ALLOWED... IT'S A HIKING ONLY TRAIL... You can walk it to Bassi but it's longer than it looks... :eek: Barrett is usually only open a few months out of the year and it's one way in, one way out (DEAD END)...

I have seen the same trail on my maps. My friends and I spent several weekends searching for it from the Bassi side. Never found it. Probably a good thing it is hard to find, I don't want a bunch of people up there.
