Thats kinda the whole idea, if you read the atricle.
The fact that people arent regularly breaking the 60 is why the conversion is tailored to upgrade, D44" and 9" axles to accept, D60 knuckles, yokes, hubs, spindles, etc, It looks like the D60 axle shafts, and U joints would even be used, and the D60 shaft would be cut down to match the existing locker.
It sounds like any break after that would be in the locker.
Now as far as people breaking D44 knuckles, thats not that uncommon, I just saw grady do it a couple weeks ago at CalRocs.
I just wonder how expensive all of that swag would be?

WB (Welder Boy) broke a Dana 60 knuckle so he built a jig and made his own knuckles. They are beeeefy. I don't think he will have that problem again. Contact him if you're interested in a set. He's looking for customers... He's not on the board so email me for his cell number... :D:D

I just called them. About 4 grand to convert my EB Dana 44 to this setup. I would have to send my housing to them. The high cost was because they have to re heat treat my d44 tube for the conversion.

I was getting all happy thinking currie would only ask like 500 bucks for it :(

I talked to John Currie the other day. He said the axle yoke out was $2200. Includes Willwood calipers, steering arm, lock outs.
Then you would need some axles.

I bought a super clean D50 off a 99F250 for $1200. A little machining on the hubs $100, respline the long inner to 35 spline $50, get new short inner from onetonwilly $50, Willwood calipers $270 pair, hat. and rotor. About $2K with axles.

Add all this to my Tera60 ARB. :)

YEA BUDDY!!
