I bought some months ago a new PCV valve (the one in the valve cover) because somebody told me that the engine runs much nicer if the PCV, the oxygen sensor and the distributor and cap are changed VERY regularly.

He also told me that the PCV was directly related to the crud that I can see often in the air filter.....

Any opinions?

I had also heard that, and when I changed my pcv filter I noticed a slight difference. But regardless, it just makes sense to change filters regularly.
