Ok, I've used a Dana 44 for a SAS on my 99 Tacoma and I was wondering if anyone here has drilled out or otherwise modified the wheelstuds on the front of the 1/2 ton Chevys to use a heavier wheelstud than those crappy 7/16" studs that the D44's come with from the factory?
Anyone?...let me know.
Thanks,
David

Hey Dave, Why don't you use those studs I told you to use? You can always drill them out to use 9/16 (1 ton) studs. I have done this on a 44HD to match my rear studs.... :D

I most likely will drill them out and use the same size studs as the 3/4 ton 44's (9/16")...I was just searching out to see if anyone knew of a 1/2" or other suitable substitute that wouldn't require drilling them out.
Oh, and when would be a good time to yank that drag link and have you shorten it about 1/2" and rethread? Let me know.
Later,
David
