1) How do you get marks off of frosted glass? My punch bowl for the wedding was a wedding gift to my parents, a gift from my now deceased grandmother and I want to use it for my wedding. Any ideas? It's Princess House and I don't want to ruin it.... apparently the metal foot rubbed on it in storage. It's not scratched really, just black marks.

2) What would cause my niece (8 yrs old) to puke randomly in the middle of the night? She's been doing it for a year or so (I have no clue why they haven't taken her to the doc) and every time she stays the night... yuppers.... puke in the bed. 3am last night...knock knock...lexie puked! They thought for a while that she was just eating too much too late in the evening. But I picked her up last night at 8 and she was up till 11 and didn't eat anything. Obviously, there could be something very wrong with her little tummy, but what? Anybody have anything similar? Is there anything she can take? I know acidophilous (sp?)helps food digest... any ideas?

If you people could solve these mysteries for me, that would make my day so much better!!! :D

ps...6 days and counting!!

The most common symptoms in children are repeated vomiting, coughing, and other respiratory problems.

she does have asthma...I wonder if it's related... ? Her dad has it too tho.

Is she nervous or stressed out? Had similar issues when I was a kid. Of course, I was 16.

well she's the middle child at both parents' houses...and her mom is a flake and just split with her step-dad...again. this is a regular occurrence. she just got back from her mom's for 2 weeks. she lives with dad and step-mom (mark's sister). before she left for mom's I kinda wondered if there was something on her mind, she wanted to come over and hang out for no reason at all...sami wasn't home. so she helped me in the garden for a couple hours and taked my ear off the whole time. and like a good aunt, I listened.... but the puking thing has been happening off and and on for a while. she hasn't done it for a while tho...couple months maybe. I worry about my little mini-me :( (she looks more like me than mark's kids do :D )

it's not every night...it's maybe once a month. but there's definitely a pattern. and when they put the eating cut-off at 8pm, it stopped. thought that was it maybe? apparently not. believe me, i'm definitely going to be talking to her dad about this tonight. it pisses me off too.

I don't generally like to judge other people's parenting skills without knowing the whole situation, but I've got to agree with DRM. This is their LITTLE GIRL. If she's been having issues for a couple of days, take her to the hospital, don't let it go on for a year!

Do they think they are saving money not taking her in? Do they realize how much money the dental work will cost, when the stomach acid from constantly puking destroys that little girl's teeth?

Or do they just not care?

asthma...does she cough at night? my youngest has asthma, actually both do, but his is worse, both of them also have pretty touchy gag reflexes. start coughing, and they sometimes puke.

btw, they have been in and out of hospitals and dr's offices more than i care to count. ;)

her asthma usually doesn't act up unless she's running around playing.

and dude, I agree... If she was my kid I would've taken her in a loooong time ago. It's not about the money, they have the money. I don't know why they haven't taken her in. I'm definitely going to push the issue tonight tho. I'll keep you guys filled in... BTW... brother-in-law has really been a jackass lately... so this really gives me a good reason to bitch at him.
