Ok the early 90s D44s are 58wms to wms, but the latter with the aluminum finned version is....?:confused:

The '98+ 44s (w/ a,luminum finned cover) run 63"-64" depending on who is operating the tape. ~ 4" wider then a widetrack Waggy 44 and about 1" wider then a C&C Chevy 14 bolt.

Thanks all, I did some research on www.ezfindparts.com and it seems as though 96 and up D44's have crap on the pumpkin or tubes for ABS sensors, can anyone confirm this for me, on earlier and later ones.

not an issue.

there is a plug in on the top of the housing and a "toothed" ring between the ring gear and carrier.............this will get dumped when you swap gears.

i ran one of these for a long time.....swaped to a full carrier detroit and a 5.38 ring and pinion.....just cut the wire off the plug in on top of the diff.

no big deal.
