o-k, I did the mini truck conversion for front disc. what did you guys do for brake lines? The mini truck lines don't hook up nicely to the fj mount on the axle.

I don't know man, I've done a butt load of mini truck conversions and used the mini truck brake lines on most, they seem to fit just fine?

I had to make new hard lines for the line from the backing plate to the caliper. Good opportunity to learn how to flare hard lines <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

The axle to backing plate connection was done with braided SS lines I got from MAF.

On mine, I went with new brake lines that terminate at the frame, then went minitruck brake hose from frame to caliper on both sides. You should be able to just go from frame to caliper.

Make that frame to backing plate.

cruiserman......By frame do you mean axle or is your 60 fj set up way differently than my 73?

I used cruiser lines and just bypassed the soft to hard little tab the mini truck knuckle originally used.

the soft line now terminates near the axle where the original cruiser line did, and the other screws in to the truck disk where it's original line did.

I think I made that sound a lot more complicated than it is, it is pretty easy

i used cruise hard lines on the axle, then truck flex hoses to the back plate. then truck hard lines to the caliper from the b.plate. worked out great! if you need any pics lemme know i love this digi camera.

The other way is to run a line to the frame with a long hose down to the axle, then run a line to each wheel. That's how the rear is done.
