: I picked up my "new" Champions
Rubicrawler 12-03-2001, 10:00 AM Yipee:bounce: I picked up my wheels from Champion on Friday and they look great. I had them add beadlocks to my old, trail beat, Enkies. Champion's service and workmanship is outstanding! I would definately recommend Champion's products and services.
Now for the "fun" part. Breaking my SX's off of my Barts and remounting on the Champs. Sounds like a 12-pack  job to me!
Lets see some pics Mark:)

Mike- thanks for the suggestion. I'll give it a try. I've always used my highlift to break the bead in the past but it's slow-goin'.

Mark- I think I have a buyer for the Barts. But, if he decides to pass, you'll be the first to know.
BTW Mark. Im gonna buy a bead breaker. for the $30 to $40 they run ... it'd be worth it.

That's cheap! Where can I get one?
Rover Addiction 12-03-2001, 10:27 AM I usually use the hi-lift method under my rear bumper. Use the weight of the truck to break the bead after removing the valve core. Seems to work ok to me. Some beads have a larger inner retaining ring and require my truck to have a little extra weight in order to break the bead. It's always worked for me though.

That's how I've done it in the past but, for some reason, I have to work the jack around the wheel in a few spots before the bead breaks.
GloNDark 12-03-2001, 10:32 AM Hey give em to me, I'll put em on my cruiser and run em for a day or two. I never have any problems breaking the bead! ;)
I need beadlocks! How much did they charge to turn your wheels into locks?
Here is another way.
Take out the valve cores and then spin some brodies in the street. Should come right off the rims.

They quote $137.50 on their web site but if you deliver, pick-up and pay CASH $$ you can get 'em for $100.00 each:eek::bounce: That's what I did! But you didn't hear it from me.
