I need a air tank of somekind to mount in my jeep. Gallons isn't really important. Just not too big because it needs to fit in the jeep. Free is preferred. I'll pay shipping of course. Unless you live close to TN. heh. Email me at calcutta250_1@yahoo.com

Some people are using the old propane BBQ tanks as free air tanks. The ones with out the OPD valve that you can't get filled anymore. You can get those free anywhere that fills tanks.

I'll check about the propane tanks. Sounds like a good idea. Might be a little bigger than I want though. I'll see what happens though.

And LilWes: Thanks for your most useful post. I got a lot out of it. You see the thing is I was wanted it for free. I'm sure there are plenty of people that would sell me one for 80 bones. :rolleyes:

Old scuba tanks are a good way to go also. Call some scuba shops, the tanks go bad after a 5-10 years so sometimes they have some they cant use anymore.

You can always pick up a cheap 5 gallon air tank for $20 from any local parts store. About the same as what shipping a free one would cost

Home depot has air tanks with pressure switches, regulator, etc for about $35,. Nice small and clean :D

Propane tank is a good idea. I have one that I've used for years. You can get the air plumbing you'll need at a hardware store. rj

Propane tank is a good idea. I have one that I've used for years. You will probably want to remove the present valve which can be a bear to get out. There are kits you can buy for the conversion. rj
