I am having major problems with my tow rig. It quit on me. No spark. I replaced the module and the coil. The coil has voltage and the module has power going into it. Does anyone know where I can fing a ign wiring diagram for this?

Oh, could the condensor on the coil be causing this?

First, is it a TFI igntion?? ie: module on the dist?? If it is, unplug the PIP and re-check for spark.

If still no, put a test light on the neg side of the coil, and crank. The test light should flash. If not you have a pick-up problem.... If its never be replaced, then it is overdue;)

And no, the condensor will not cause a no start condition;)

Is the ignition switch under the dash on the column sparking or broken, or maybe pulling apart

I did'nt look at the switch. But I heard a snap. like electrical when it shut off. They may be the direction it cam from. It had to be close cause my tires hum pretty bad and I heard it over the tires. It is not fuel injected. It's the one with nothing in the dist but the rotor. No wires, pickups. just the cap and rotor. I hate working on the tow rig. Needing it for work is not fun. I can't just walk away like I can the comp rig.

My fathers 83 f250 460 has two relays located on the fire wall. If either of these go bad they will keep you from running. Unfortunatly they are a Ford only item and they are $20 to $30 each. You probably could get them at the junk yard for less than $5 for the pair.

Get a manual and follow the troubleshooting stuff, it worked for us.
