A buddy next door was having problems with the Amigo starting and we checked out the spark (good), air flow (good), and thought then that it would be a fuel problem. He swapped in a new pump, and filter, and everything worked fine for a while (2 weeks approx. ) It stalled a few times...since then. And now, it won't start! It will turn over good, (so its not the battery/alternator) but we are at a loss.......any problems, or things to check/recommendations Thanks

What year?
If it is a first gen, then check the two wire fuel pump connector. They are prone to melting/degrading. Then check the ground wire coming out of that connector all the way until it attaches to the frame. Those are prone to corroding. :D
Good Luck

put it on a scan tool and check the pulse to the injecters, they may not be fireing. It may also have a bad coolant senser that wont allow the ecm to richen the fuel mixture for starting or even a bad ecm. To determin if the problem is fuel related take the air intake off where it goes into the throtle body and while someone cranks it over spray starting fluid in (squirt stop-squirt stop not a steady stream but give it a good bit initally), if it runs on it then fuel delivery or settings is the problem, if it stays running after its started then the ecm isnt setting the richer mixture for starting (may have to try a few times to let it warm up a little) If it stops almost immediatly after you quit squirting in the starting fluid then the problem is in fuel pressure or injecters. Hope I helped and she gets goin again
