Kinda interested how there going to work, however there only 33x14's. Anyone gooved there Boggers? I've been told that they have to be grooved to get lateral traction. How do they work with the Light weight of the Sammy.

I got a new set of Boggers for $200, not to mention I chewed up a set of tires last weekend at the Hammers. Didn't really have a choice, the price was right and they have got to be better than what I was running.

I hated mine. But then our rock is wet and slimmy. No side slope stability, too stiff to air down, good in mud. I was running 35x14.4's.

I love my SX's:flipoff2:

what do you mean to stiff to air down....I was running 1psi all weekend!!!

They are awesome fatty, you will love them.....Although you may want to think about some beadlocks...you will like them alot more!!

LOL! Even the people who don't like them will tell you they're great in mud. :D

Interesting... I know four guys (two jeeps, two toys) who all run 35x14.5 boggers and love them. And how do you love SX's but say Boggers have too stiff of a sidewall???

And how much sidewall bulge did you have, how much height change was there? I think my main concern was side slope.
But since you guys are high and dry, he will like them, I was just voicing it from the East coast.

I went from 1.3 and 35" boggers, to 4.3 and 38" sx's so it may be hard to compare.:flipoff2:

OK , I used to think this was funny, now it seems to be just plain childish. Do you have a better way to pass the day than make cracks at every post of mine?

Once and for all ........ FAWK OFF  :mad3: :nuke:

When i had stock axles and 33" boggers, they didnt seem like they would bulge a whole lot on me....
But now with the D44's and the 37's they look a little bulged....Not a whole lot, it looks like a bfg at 8psi....

I think if I aired my 38's down to 1 psi they would be very flat. I run 3 to 4 psi and they bulge nice.

what happens if you take the stems right out? Will the rim hit the ground?

 not quite sure how to reply to this... but i won't retort with any insults, and plenty spring to mind, believe me.
personally i don't feel any of my posts have been more "childish" than yours, and felt pretty confident that you were saying things in jest, same as i was. yikes, no sense of humour. :(

you msut fill your tires with helium, my SX's on a 5200 pound rig @ 0 psi only squished half the sidewall fo what it had @ 20 psi

oh, and just to remind you of that childhood saying, if you let them think it bothers you, they will keep doing it, you keep crying, so he keeps doing, it's simple enough, or in laymans terms, DUH ASSHOLE!

Interesting. I was voicing east coast (okay, somewhat west of the east coast - but definitely not "high and dry") opinion too, and 'round here the Bogger is the tire of choice. None of my buds 35x14.5 boggers have sideslope traction problems. Unless it's a muddy sidehill, then even my MT/Rs have sideslip problems.

People always say that Boggers hae big problems with sidehill traction and backing up. I KNOW backing up isn't a problem, and I've never seen them exhibit sidhilling grip problems. But this is in mud, where the sidewall lugs are biting in at the corner of the tire. On rock I suppose it would be a different story.

I've always held the opinion that boggers work so well in mud 'cause of their insane sidwall lugs. No matter how packed you get the tread of a bogger, a blip of the throttle cleans out the sidewall for more bite... and those lugs seem to simply bite in at the corner of the tire & hold it in place.

Once in a while fine, when it is deserved, but after every e-mail I make, in almost every thread gets to be a bit much. Yes I can dish it out as well, take it too, but there comes a time when enough is enough. I don't mind the odd joke, or crack, and laugh at it most of the time. I guess i also had a bad day today, sorry to take it out on the list.

NO I'M NOT:flipoff2: :) :)

you gotta love boggers......even if they weren't worth a damn off road they still look bad as HELL.....change the whole attitude of the truck

i'm runnin a set of 33x14's now.....took a few trips at 3-5 psi i to get them to work good.....haven't lost a bead yet...

My buddy ran 39.5s for a couple of years, and for rocks they werent shitty, but didnt seem to work as well as other things. We borrowed a groover from "Gravedigger" when the USHRA was in town and sliced the whiz out of them and it made the carrcass a lot more flexible but they still didnt seem to work as good as the best out there.

Tim Hardy has far and away the most flexible boggers I've seen, and thats on a really light sami. His secret is to pull the stems and go for a long drive (30 miles?) at around 20-30 miles an hour. They get hot and remain flexy after that (because the carcass has been ruined). But if you want them for wheeling, it seems to be the best way to get them to work.

Hope youre stereo gets loud!

i had the 33x14's. they are a little stiff... i've run them at 2 or 3 psi and and you can hardly tell the tire isn't at 20psi (yes the zuk has actually been to the trails before :flipoff2: ) sidehills weren't that bad... on the bigger sidehills the truck always wen't exactly where i was not pointing it. :flipoff2: i'd groove them
