It's not bad. You learn to swing it a little wide turning and to pick your parking spots. You'll get more exercise, too (from walking from the farther away parking spots). Fast food drivethru's are usually doable, get ready to turn your engine off though if it's a diesel so burger boy can hear you on his headset.

Ive driven my boss's late 80s crew cab long bed dually 2wd when I needed to pick stuff up. You get used to the width in the rear with some time. Like the other guy said, some drive throughs are do able, others arent. I wouldnt mind driving one. My boss doesnt DD his cuz the big block gets shit for MPG.

I do, well close any way since the new Dodge is not a true crew cab. I also have a trailer behind me pretty much every day. I just have to park out away from everthing.

second on pmurf,

you learn what drivethroughs you cant go through, or the teller lines at the bank cause you really dont fit well.( just learned that yesterday)

Makes you think if you need to but a muffler on the diesel when your in a enclosed drivethrough, NAW.

One thing that has bothered my is how and why local hardware stores, home depot, lowes, etc... have such small parking places when most/alot of business is from contractors that drive dually, crew cabs, trailers, and such.

yeah it's not that big of a deal once you get use to driving it around but word of caution don't let the wife/significant other drive it it'll come back with either a missing fender or some dents and possibly a call from fire department (why is there a hydrant down the corner from you tilted at a 45 degree angle (neighbor snitched on her)) It's not that bad though

Ya, I agree, or just pull up to the window and then give them your order.

I have driven my F350 CC Dually for the past 2+ years as a daily driver. It isn't bad until I put my 11.5' truck camper in the back, then it is a little more difficult. BUt, you just get use to it.

My company car is a 01 GMC 3500 dually. Driven it everywhere for a year and a half. Nothing like driving down the freeway with a "room with a view".

Besides all the others with company cars have BMW's, Audi's and Mercedes but I always have a couple spaces in the lot left just for me.:flipoff2:

Took about a week. I park it in a parking structure and can back it in usually on the first try and sometimes need a second try. Usually everyone else has more problems figuring out that I can't move on until they move out of my way while going around the corners.

My daily driver is a '79 K30 crew cab with Cummins. No duals though. The length is there, but you just get used to it. Definitely have to shut down the Cummins at the drive thru speakers.:D

I've driven duallies before, and let me tell you they don't like it when you drive 'em through the car slots of the toll plazas in IL.

I do. It's great for rush hour traffic. I own the fast last. :D But parking garages can be a PITA.

No. LOL It's the Omaha public power district building's parking garage. The prison is 3 blocks away.
