I am looking for a good Tire and wheel package. 4wheel parts wholesalers has some good deals, but they dick you with shipping costs. Anybody have any suggestions for places to shop online? Thanks, Brent

If they're shippable UPS, they can go out sometimes cheaper than via Bullocks (4WPW's truck line of choice)... but you're gonna end up eating it on shipping one way or another. Small tires and wheels, usually run around $35-40 each to ship (small being 31x10.50's on stock steel wheels) across the country; big stuff, adds up quick.

More info. for opinions:

NTWonline.com has
Dick Cepek M-C II 35x12.5x15 on AR 767 (black rock crawlers) $793 shipped
General Grabber MT 35x12.5x15 on AR 767 $780 shipped

4wheelparts.com
ProComp MT
35x12.5x15 on AR767 $802 shipped

Wat do you all think? They are all in the price range.
All come w/ lugs and caps, mounted and balanced.

You might be able to find a local tire place that can come close to the price of 4wpw. My brother got his local American Tire to match the price from the 4wpw ad (it ended up being cheaper because he would not have needed to pay that "shop fee").

It's worth a shot to see if a local shop can come close. Even if it's slightly more it might be worth it just to not have to deal with shipping charges and hastles.

Buy local, by the time you get done paying for the tires and shipping your are probably close to the same price as you would be locally. bonus is, you got a guy at the counter you can ream if you have a problem with them locally. 4wheelwhores will screw you over, their return policy sucks!!

If you're looking for something in the typical 35" MT area, try http://www.tirerack.com... they have the best price on MT/Rs that I'm aware of, hands down. You could at least get 4WPH to match it.

Too bad you dont have a 4WP in town. I just took the lowest prive I could find and got them price-matched. Course, it helps that I wheel with their asst. manager.

get the best deal you can, then take it to American Tire Co. and have them match that price. Lie about shipping and tell them it's only $15 a tire.
