I am currently running Dunlop Radial Mud Rovers and was wondering how these would compare. Has anyone had any experience with ProComp Tires in general?

I have some 33" pro comp MT's and they have held up very well. They seem to work great in mud. (better then MTR's)
I was using my wrangler as a daily driver and I did have a little problem getting them balanced but after 2 trys they finally got them so they didnt shake untill above 75mph. If I was to do it over I would still get them for the price but I would get the road hazard protection just in case I ripped a sidewall.

I just got a set of their AT's for my dialy driver (31x10.5). I'll let you know how they do. They look almost identical to the BFG AT's.

They LOOK good, but I think their sidewalls are weak.
I saw a Sammi (with 31" Procomp MTs) destroy a tire when
he pinched it between a rock and the rim, while playing at
Bassi.
Those dunlops are good tires, but pricey. If they have 3-ply
sidewalls, I would stick with them, or go with BFG's.
Then again, if you don't do rocks, forget what I just said,
and get the Procomps.

Dunlop Radial Mud Rovers are $135 a piece at etires.com
That is a pretty good price IMO. I may just go w/ them again.

I bought the 35x12.50 procomps last year and have been happy with them. They are very compareable to the BFG muds. There are bigger voids in the tread which would lead you to believe that they would be better in the mud. I think the sidewalls are just as tough, or tougher then the BFG's. If you need to drive your rig on the street, then I think they are a good choice.....especially when it is buy 3 get 1 free:D

I said it many times, I love my Pro-comps. They are great in Moab and yes I've torn a sidewall and 4wheel parts, replaced, no prob.
I will buy them again when I go to 35's.
They are well mannered on the street, and in the snow and rain. They are really nice to drive for a D/D.

I run the BFG muds, and was just wondering when reading the post...do those Dunlop muds measure a true 35 in. or are they small like the BFG's, are the 35 Pro Comps taller?

Pro-comps are 34.7, not sure on the BFG's

my friend had procrap muds and i have BFG muds. They are about the same price but the procraps look like plastic and they shreded real easily when they rub. they perform the same in mud. not sure about on the rocks. The procraps probably do better on pavement with the sipping. Ill stick with my BFG's though (until swampers)

just my $.02

i have a set of 33s and there were not bad for the price but, they have went up since i got mine. they are allrite in the rocks but they don't grip like swampers. they cost me a flop following a buddie with swampers. up a rock he drove right up i got 3/4 of the way started spinning and went down real quick. i wouldn't recommend them after the price got raised. but my side walls have held up great with 4 psi on my zook.

I enjoy mine. I have about 15k so far on them. And they have well over 50% tread left. I got them solely cause it was all I had money for at the time. One note is that as they wear they get louder going down the highway. I didn't recognize that when I had the BFGs as much.

Try pricing some Buckshot Maxxis Mudders, I just bought a set for the daily driver(Dodge Cummins 2500) for $115 a piece. This included mounting, balancing, and tax. This was for E rated 285/75-16. Should be able to get a lower rated 35" 12.50-15 for about the same money. My tires measure 33" -11". Tread is similar to the Dunlop.

It is basically a Buckshot without the sidelugs and a better rubber compound and wider widths. 3-ply side walls

Bought mine at the local Discount Tire & Wheel
