When doing a SAS on a TTB bronco or even a ranger what did you guys use for radius arm brackets?
aslo how big and is the frame boxed on a 78-79 bronco?
SO far i am thinking useing a stock 66-77 bronco radius arm bracket then mounting it to a peice of 3x3 1/4 inch and then welding that to the C channel of the TTB bronco's frame

I hate acronyms. I think SOA is spring over axle and SAS is solid axle swap.:flipoff2:
Anyway I sold some EB radius arms and the bracket from the frame to radius arm to a guy doing that swap. Just torched out the rivets. I think he just welded those brackets onto the c chanel frame and maybe boxed that small area of it.

Check some ranger sites they talk about this alot. But if I remember right....What was the question..Oh ya........ they use the bracket off 78-79 and I think you can buy them new-cheap and one of the bolts line up in the frame were the old bracket was then drill or weld. They do use the stock arms EB stuff and this puts every thing in the right spot. They say it is almost abolt in job execpt for the track arm and bracket. Jod lick

for my sploder i used the radius arms and the drop radius arm brackets from a lifted 79 bronco. then welded a crossmember in for lateral support. not sure if the frame is boxed though....

hahah whoops, was thinking of something else
I did not like the 78/79 brackets because of the crossmember, the tranny pan will hit, but i think i have decided on the EB brackets, seem to be cheaper as well

I used the stock TTB radius arm mounts moved back to fit the longer radius arms I made. When I first did the swap I used some from a 72 F150 wich were cast instead of stamped, but they hung down alot lower, since I switched back to the stock brakets they gut hung up alot less.

what did you do to the end of the TTB brackets? i think the old Solid axle Radius arms use a different bushing then the TTB ones?
