you should try a repair manual. I just set up my gears so they feel right (not too much play) and the gears mesh good. It's not really as difficult as some people think.

The most important part of setting up gears is getting the tooth pattern correct with your shimming.

Don't be offended......
If you're needing help just looking for backlash anbd preload specs, you may want to invest in a factory service manual. It gives you all this information as well as tooth pattern information so you can get everything correct. Preload and backlash are actually the easiest part of setting up new gears.

Thanx for the info and no I did not take offence to any comment
I have set gears up in the past so Im confident of that but dont have the $90.00 manual just to check the info so Im headed to the dealer to get one.

if u don't have yet here goes. set up back lash at .006-.012 and pre load on a new pinion brng should be about 15 inch lbs rotating torque. side adjusters should be snug but not tight. like a front wheel brng nut.
