Hey, sorry if this is a newbie question, but do the GR, Cherokee brakes bolt right up to the XJ? I'm mostly concerned with the fronts, since they do most of the braking anyway, but it would be nice to have discs in the rear as well.

Mine is a '98 XJ rear axle is the corporate 8.25", if that helps at all.
Also wondering if the stock 15" rims on the XJ will accomodate the better/larger ZJ brakes???

I think you have to swap the from the knuckles out. I believe petersons had a write up on this as well. Going from memory and I drink a lot so please verify. I was on jeepspeed.com and found some information on this swap and I found some info on how to swap the rear disc too. Sorry I can not remember the details. Got tired of wheeling scared so I bought a set of 1 tons to set my mind at ease.(come with bigger brakes too!)
