hey supergper,

where didi you find that axle width list?

I wih alot more folks would read that!

some of it seems like insignificant differences, 59.3 vs 59.8 and such?

thats why im asking where it came from?

I pulled/pasted it for futur use, I could have used it on a thread last week if it has any author worth his salt.

I'll bet those widths are track width, which is measured at the center of the tread with the stock tires/rims.

WMS-WMS would be awesome however.

Exactly! I'll bet those were originally posted by Jefe who is really big on track width. Unfortunately they depend on wheel width and offset. Without that info those numbers don't mean Jack. I like WMS-WMS because it never changes no matter what the wheel width or offset.

 It must be track width...the Dana 60 from my J20, the Waggy 44 and the XJ 44...that's lying in my shop, all differ from this list.

So if that list is off are there any J10 front D44's that have a WMS to WMS of 65" ?

I think all J10 dana 44 fronts are damn near that number.

maybe even slightly wider

or look for a widetrack cherokee, its the same OR very, very close.

Wow so J10 axles are full width (ie. 65") never knew that! Is the J20 the only 65" D60 there is??

Hey NE... I happen to run a J20 44 up front. I also happen to have below the bench right now a spare set of shafts. Reply and I'll give you exact lengths as measured... just let me know from where to where you want it. :D

If you are asking about the front, J-trucks never had a D60 front. If you are asking about the rear, a Ford SF 60 is around 63-64. I believe that Ford van FF are about the same.

Hey, I got a J-20 Dana 44 front I'm about to swap and I was wondering if the axles are the same lengths as Dodge Dana 44 shafts, that way we could run some Warn's in them. What are the measurements so I can check the Warn chart, thanks. OH my axle is still under the truck I haven't pulled it yet, that's why I'm asking. I heard the J-20's run about 67" WMS in the front just like the Dodge that's why I'm asking about the lengths too.:D
