Yeah, but he was doing it large scale. I think he even gave out his UId and password.

I'm just asking for one car. I'm not actively hunting yet, so don't want to pay the $25 for 30 days to run one VIN. Which I would normally do. I just have to know before tomorrow.

4 records is a lot for a 2 year old car. I want to know for sure one of those records isn't a total or similar.

We just purchased an exploder yesterday. I had the dealer get me the carfax report before we continued talking. He did it without question. If they won't do it, I would recommend walking as it's not the type of dealer one should do business with.

KS Toy - Thanks for running that.

Personally, I like running it myself (don't trust dealers at all until they proove otherwise) as well as pulling the blue book trade in values, as well as retail values. they are asking 20988 for this thing, but as long as they finance us, I'm thinking 18,000 might be a little more fair considering milleage. (I know it's fleet, and probably maintained well, but odds are the dealer doesn't)


why I run a carfax everytime now. I was looking for a YJ a few years ago. Found one cheap (about 7,000), and REALLY clean.. I mean too clean. I looked that thing over everywhere for damage, couldn't find it. Asked the dealer to check, they said it came back clean.

I then ran my own check, yup... it was Totalled.

Still kinda wish I went back and extorted that Jeep out of them for about 2 grand. LOL
