turn down to matierial ID... in this case, just clean old weld and rust off...

repeat on other end....

just making sure it's true and straight... well as straight as any piece of material coming from dan's garage could be :laughing:

i truely do not envy people who do this for a living.... talk about annoying trying to get this thing perfectly true... i gave up at about 98% :laughing:


and of course... since it is technically moto's machine... i had to give him credit where due :laughing:

No kidding. After being chucked into the lathe about 12 different ways and taking several hours, the 1/4" wall tube my rear shaft is made of was STILL 40-thousandths off IIRC. Oh well, it's completely vibe-free on the interstate. :grinpimp:
