I posted this on the mini truck BB, but I thought I'd post it here as well just in case there's any of you Cruiser heads in the Sacramento area with a stash of mini truck parts .

I need a 4-speed transmission for my 1979 4x4 Toy truck.

I've been hauling some very heavy loads of firewood out of the forest the last couple of days and I think it may have been to much for the old truck. Anyway I think I scattered the transmission and I've got to fix it quick cause winters on it's way and I've got to get my firewood supply.

I don't have much money but I've got losts of Cruiser stuff and trading is always an option.

Nobody ?

OK, somtimes I enjoy talking to myself, so be it........anyway, thanks to the mini truck BB I managed to locate a tranny with a transfer case for $200 bucks, what a deal eh?

Yeh, I must agreee I did get a good deal.

Not only the tranny and the transfer but I also got a good deal on a front driveline with a Cardin joint that should work well on the rear of my FJ40.

Thats way cool I'd like to find more good deals like that!

I got the same thing, for now I just need to get it back on the road.
Someday later I'll look into doing some mods.
BTW nice website, I'm sure I'll be checking back with you later when I get into this thing a bit more.

Jim, couple of weeks nothing ! I only ran it for two days! <IMG SRC="smilies/eek.gif" border="0"> I don't think that sawdust in there did the trick <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0"> I was wheelin it pretty hard with a heavy load. The poor little tranny didn't have a chance.
Do you happen to have the old tranny that came out of that truck ? I may need the extra parts.
