Anybody know how much snow on iron mountain road?????????:smokin: :smokin:

had 6" this morning at 4 am at my house. I am a few hundred feet above the spillway elevation. The snow depth will rapidly increase from there. I'd imagine there is a few feet at the top.:D

So where is a good place to go jeepin this weekend uncle toms get any snow

I went up to uncles tom's two weekends ago and there was snow. not enough to get stuck but enough to play. We made it all the way to Bassi falls. the road should be open now. I imagine after all the snow we got last week it should be sweet.

I went through Uncle Toms on Saturday night and there was a foot + and it was still coming down. Should be plenty to play in. Some decent drifts too.

Was the road between stumpy and toms still all muddy. When I went through there the mud was nasty. I still haven't got it all off of the rig yet. I imagine with all the snow the mud should be covered up.

We got up there around 1am Sunday and it rained all the way to Uncle toms. At stumpy there was around 6-8" but yes the road was nasty mud. Ruts all over the place. To slushy to stay on top. Fun, but a major pain to clean especially with full width axles.

Yuk!! it's getting worse. That road is going to be trashed by the thaw. They are going to have to completely rebuild it again. Doesn't make sence to me. Why didn't they wait to tear up that part of the road until next summer. The new road is definately nice though.
A buddy of mine lost both of his tow hooks the weekend we went. His tow bar fell down and twisted up underneath the front of his rig and sheared off the bolts. Good luck finding them though.

A few guy from Dixon will be headed up to Iron Mtn road on Saturday if any one wants to join in. We should be at Sly park exit around 8:30am.
