I've searched and searched and searched this site for more info on the taurus fans but there is one thing that I haven't found yet. I went to the pnp today for some tranny parts and saw a bunch of taurus' in the next row so I figured I'd take a look at those. Out of a dozen or so taurus' that I searched, all of the fans looked the same, single fans with 2 wires going to the center of the fan. But one taurus had dual (2) fans and each of them had 3 wires going to them. Is this the type that I want. I haven't been able to find info on whether or not the dual fans are the ones to go with or if its just a single fan with 3 wires. Has anyone used one of the dual fans? How do they work? Can I get these fans and only use one of them (I don't know what size they were so I don't know if both will fit). Basically, I haven't seen any info on the duals fans and was wondering if anybody has.


BTW - this will be going into a CJ5 with a TBI 350

I don't know about the dual fan setup, but the fan you are looking for are in the ford/mercury cars with the 3.8L engines. They will have the 3 wire fan. Good luck, keep looking.

the taurus with the dual fans is a s.h.o one. i came across 2 of them while looking but both were trashed beyond use. i was able to get a measurement on one and it was about 27 in. across if i remember right. i ended up using 2 two speeds side by side in my k5. i think 1 2speed fan would be good for your cj.
