: Draglink question

I swapped in axles from a 79 Bronco into my 84 Bronco II. After the swap was finished, I needed to come up with a draglink, so I measured, cut, welded/sleeved the original 79 draglink only to find out that the rod end sizes are different (one bigger than the other). I need to find a way to either make this one work, or make up a new one....cheap.

So, can you swap pitman arms between the big bronco and the B2???

Or, does anyone know of something else that might work?

I did exactly the same swap in my X. I used one of the old TTB tierod ends + the adjusting sleeve on the pitman arm end and cut and threaded the Dana44 draglink to fit the adjusting sleeve. Voila.

I was thinking about using the stock TTB piece, but I was not sure if the shaft diameter was the same. Last time I ground down the edges, welded the two pieces together, took off the excess, and slid the sleeve down and welded it. If the TTB pieces are the same diameter as the draglink I have now, it'll work.

It's just too bad I already sold off my TTB stuff...guess it's time to go to Autozone.
