: Flat towing questions

I did a search, but didn't come up with an answer.

Anyway, is there some sort of a "height" limitation on flat towing. Meaning, my Jeep sit's on 35's, and I want to tow it with a 2wd "new" F150. Obviously, a big difference in height.

I've sold my YJ to a guy that lives about 12 hours from me, and we are going to meet "halfway". So, it's not something that I'm going to be doing all the time.

Thoughts? Opinions?

TIA

The tow bar is supposed to be paralled to the ground. Flip the draw bar upside down to get the height closer.

I flat tow with my 38's and a 2wd F-250 i also use a 22 inch drop hitch flipped to be a raised hitch to keep the tow bar somewhat flat

qs you guys could help answer.
I have a 90 Yj with spring over and 33s v-8 auto tranny and I want to flat tow my 88 sammi on 35s . Will this be safe? What should I be concerned about. I will be towing 300 plus miles across the state all highway.
Thanks

I do the same with my Cruiser. Except my Hitch is only a 14 inch drop flipped and the tow rig is a 97 GMC 4x4. Make sure the keep the bar as close to parrallel as possible and if you have to drive thru snow and ice (and your rig is locked) GOOD LUCK!! Ask bigwilly about his experience with a Spooled willys jeep and a 96 dodge ram in the snow. OUCH!

Mine depends on pavement 92 YJ, 33" tires. If the pavement is good than I can pull 70-75mph without a problem. if the pavement is bad, I'll be lucky to pull 50 before the jeep starts wagging. Flat towing sucks, do it when you have to, trailer towing is alot better, and even alot easier of a pull. (well, except for uhaul trailers)
