How low can you go in a rig with an automatic tranny before you have problems with stopping yourself?

I don't think you can really answer that question as there are WAY too many variables. What kind of brakes? What motor? What torque converter? Etc. Obviously a 4 popper isn't going to want to push through the brakes like a full blown v-8 would

alright guys.....

do you mean stall speed, first gear, tcase gears or what? there are lots of things to "lower"

and it all depends on your individual situation. I run a 1000 stall converter, but someone with a super low end motor would need 3 feet to push the brakes and keep the vehicle stopped....

what kind of vehicle, motor, trans, tcase, axles gears, all play a role in your answer...

Well the motor is a 4.3 700r4 tranny duel stock toy cases and 529 gears. It would have a stock or lower stall converter.

I'll bet Swifty will have one hell of a time stopping his rig in low-low. I have a buddy that is running the same setup and his will creep on him. I have dual cases with 4.7's in the rear and the stock 5 speed behind a 22RE and his automatic 4.3 seems lower than I am and I'm at 223:1:flipoff2:
