since Comcast took over for SBC they farmed out their news server to Giganews, great download speeds and tons of posts BUT I'm limited to only a gig per month unless I pay extra on top of the $54 per month for cable!:mad: I can use a gig up in one fawking night!:crybaby2:

Mine is unlimited download, 10gig upload per month. I pay ~50 a month. If I go over my 10 gig, I get charged 20 dollars per gig over.

Edit: Just checked my plan, the unlimited download was an introductory thing. I have a flat 20gig package.

So by going though comcast I get 6 gig for $11.99 but if I sign up for a regular acct, I get 4 more gig for the same price???? WTF!?:confused:

I write a $165 check to Buckeye Express every quarter, I have pulled over 3 gb in 24 gours. they never bat an eye, according to them I used a little over 120 gb during the last ¼. have fun with your "pussy cable":flipoff2:

At work, we transfer 4-5 gigs EVERY NIGHT from AZ to Cali.

I regularly SFTP several hundred Mb of files from my work computer to my laptop, process them, then delete then a few hours later.

There are few people out there that play with the raw data I play with daily...

This has nothing to do with my bandwith limit just usenet newsgroups which is the best place to get free porn!:D

My GCI cable internet has a 10 GB total monthly throughput. That's TX+RX=10 GB. How did you swing the 20 GB? Or do you have the 1.5 MB down/128 KB up plan?
