So my brother gotta diff. motor in his ricer, so I wanna use his old motor (and maybe trans) and build a dune buggy!

Q 1 -I think gears will be limited for the honda trans, so anybody know who makes an adapter for honda - VW bus tranny?

Q 2-I've seen baja chassis for 500 that just needed finish welds, anyone know where to get these?

I think a baja buggy, would terrorize all you jeepers on safari just fine

hehehe

Pic up a Sand Sports magazine, in socal and az, sandrails are big, there are plenty of adds for chassis and anything else you need. Prowlers is one of the most well known chassis kit builders, and an adapter should be no problem.

Yes that mtr will rock in a buggy BUT you will need the computer and harness ans any sencers for it to all work right!

For the adapter go with KENNEDY ENGINEERED PRODUCTS and the # I have for them is (661) 272-1147. Your are looking around $400. for adapter and flywheel. One thing to check is on the older cvcc mtrs that we have used, you eather need to run them mid-engine or flip the diff inside of the tranny due to the mtrs run backwards! I think the acuras run right and the new hondas are prob the same!

As far as a baja bug for get it you wont keep the front on the ground and the air flow is not rear good for the radiator.

Here are two pics of some of ours the first one runs a aluminum rangrover V8 and the next one is a 2300 mustange four banger pushing around 140hp and running a square back auto trans axel.

As far as the kits go get a vw trends mag and choose! Just when you get it add alot more tubes to it to close up all the big voids in the frame!
