Looking at the drivetrain for the winter build up.
3.5L Shortstar- power glide to an Atlas or a D300. I'm trying to figure out how to put the power glide up to the 3.5L.
I figure it's just a matter of time before Advance or Novak makes one going to the Atlas/D300.
So, anyone match up a 3.5L to a power glide yet?

One question....why would you want a powerglide offroad? There's only 2 HIGH ratio (1.82:1 or a 1.76:1 low and 1:1 high IIRC) gears to use, which would create lots of head and basically be slower than a slug with less power. And that 3.5 Shortstar isn't exactly a torque monster.

Anything can be done, we put a powerglide behind a Subaru. The starter is mounted in the tranny, so it can be done, just get out your tools or your checkbook.

small block chev's mainly, the 90 degree GM pattern.
why not score a 904? technically a 908 from an 84-86 jeep cherokee? you'll need the flex plate too, and it will need to be balanced ;) it's a direct bolt up to the 3.5, and the D300 is a direct fit... i paid $75 for mine, and am picking another one up soon for $85 just so i've got a good spare...
