I saw it on Spike TV. They had a short blip about it last Sunday afternoon on Zero To Sixty. They said it will replace the RAV4, but didn't say when. It looks kind of crappy to me. The interior is horrible. I agree the old stuff is better.

we have covered it before BUT, I saw the commercial too and it appears to actually be on its way.

I'm not sure how I feel about this but I did notice that they closed the piece with..."if you know anybody that owns an original FJ40 they are worth up to $20,000":rolleyes:

COULD this be a winfall for the TLCA, introducing a new generation of cruiser heads and swelling the membership count beyond belief (trying to think positive here). I have issues with the concept because I don't feel the Land Cruiser badge belongs on a Rav4 but I also think that the Retro FJ40 could be a good thing for the TLCA;)

On Toyotas web site there is a Concept section you can go to...Pictures and Specs....The front end slighty resembles a 40, but not really. Looks like something my mom might drive.

yeah sorry tried the search thing and didn't get the answers i wanted . after seeing there is no soft top i don't care if it flies , i wouldn't own one. i currently drive a samurai but have had two fj40's and one fj45 , mortgage and gas prices have driven me to it. thanks for the comments , now i think i might have the bug again . i guess i'll go out to the shop and clear out a spot , then it's the second job for a little while and the hunt for the right prospect. I LLLOOOVVVVVEEEEE THIS FEELING!!!!!!!!!!! :D
