I am thinking about mounting my raer springs under the frame of my full size chevy. I am going to use 62 inch chevy raers. Anybody done this or know any one that has. I am wondering how it flexes and how much i nee to box the frame . Thanks

I was going to do the same thing after the fiest of the year. I was thinking boxing the frame about 8 inchs on both sides of the front spring mount and about a foot in front of the rear shackle and bob the frame right behind the shackle mount.
I'm still undesided about the rear springs though. Are you going to use a lift spring or a stock spring?

I am planning on using stock rear springs from a newer chevy. They are 62"s long. i amy run a revolver or justa longer shackle. Don't knbw right now. i have already cut the frame right behind the shackle flip that i already have so i will mount the spring right at the end.

How much lift are you tring to get out of it? I want about 5 inches on mine, I was thinking about having some lift springs made about 62 to 65 inches long.

I have six inch springs in the front so i need to match that in the rear. I dont know excatly how i am going to get that much lift but i think with a lot of trail and error i can figure it out.

Anybody else?

a friend of mine had a late 80s blazer he mounted lift springs under the frame and it made it scary in off camber situations. it would lean over and pick up front tires all the time. flexed really good but was a definite trade off. he also used a buggy spring in the rear and that sucked(same thing you'll find with the revolver) cause when he used the gas to get over something the buggy would open and just let the springs wrap up. i would go to the 63" springs and use a long shackle and call it a day. reliable and good flex.;)
