I've read a couple of posts regarding hi steer systems. Where does one buy these steering arms? I saw Avalanche mentioned in one of the posts are there other vendors that sell a similiar system. To be quite honest, I know little about Scouts, I have Land Cruisers. I'm helping a friend without a computer build up his Scout. Any help would be appreciated, websites, ideas, etc...
Thanks!

All of the local four wheel drive shops around here (Sacramento) make them. They fit any D44 with flat-top knuckles.
Here are some places that I know of for sure:
Parts Mike (http://www.partsmike.com/ )
Grady's Extreme Offroad 916/638-5843--I don't know if they have a website
Foothill Offroad (http://www.foothilloffroad.com/ )
Also, I think that Bob Roggy might make them (Roggy Enterprises) as well as Extreme Gear offroad.
Hope that helps, SD

Thanks! the more info the better! I think some of you forget that the residents of the more rural states don't have 4wd stores on every corner. Heck, I think in all of Idaho we only have about 3 and if it isn't Jeep YJ or TJ stuff you can forget about them having it in stock.
Thanks again!

Yep I make some w/ the help of my brother Jay. We are actually sold out of the standard arms right now, but we are planning to get some more cut in the next 2-3 weeks. The arm Rusoleum posted a pic of is the Scout II arm, version .30. It didn't work out for him so version .40 is about done. If it works out I'll probably get some of those cut also, maybe in January sometime.
Here's a picture of the standard arm.

What was the problem with the version .30 arms?

The TRE's rubbed on his tires, and the tie rod and draglink hit each other when turned all the way to one side.
