OUT OF MY REALM
My brother landed a 77 bronco behind my shop last week and is asking me to sell it for his son that’s going to college.

I am a Jeep person and have no ideas on what to ask for it. I also noticed that this type of thread looks common and am sorry to have to post this for answers.
It has standard stuff. 302 with automatic, 31’s with probably a three inch lift. No rust or major dents, a hard top (that’s in rough shape), interior is rough and the engine, trans., transfer -case, and radiator all leak allot.
For me…it looks like a frame up restoration is necessary. But I’m pretty picky about stuff. (Lousy black paint job, but body is straight).
Thanks in advance… for any advise given.

This is the third one in the last few days....
The 77 has all the best Ford ever offered, with exception of the steering linkage on these.
Power steering box is a 4 turn, power brakes, D44 with disc brakes. Big bearing housing in the rear with those really cool fuel doors :D

I have seen POS listed for 10k up here in LA. I'm not saying you should ask that but sending your kid to school is expensive and if someone wants to pay that for a mall crawler let them. You be surprised how prized a good paint job is here in the city of angels, lose the top and it will look even more appealing to some mall crawling yuppy looking for something Retro.

The only problem with the 77's out here is the smog issue. If you ever want to make some mods or a fuelie conversion you will run into registration issues or bribes at the smog shop.

I hope this helps

i'd say you could get around 8 for it...it sounds like it's in pretty bad shape, you'd have to find someone who wanted a project vehicle or a toy to wheel.

Ok for reference I know where there is a 77 that runs and drives and really does not look bad from 40'. When you get close you can see that the tub is shot and it need to be replaced, he wants $3,000 for it and I think it is worth every penny to someone since it is a 77. With all the above mentioned stuff about options it also has the factory power breaks.
I would think that the 4-5K is reasonable but I would start around 6-7K and go from there.
