Ok, I finally got myself a HP 60 to throw under the nose of my junk...
I have to pull it from the F350 it's in, so, I'm going to grab everything I need, but, I'm debating the track bar, I don't really see it being all that necessary, other than to stop what bump sterr might be caused by the crappy stock shackle setup, which I think I'm eventually going to give the boot anyway....
So, what do you guys think?
I think the stock a-frame shackles are sketchy, and I don't see them providing much lateral stability. I'd keep the track bar until you improve the shackle configuration.

I just finished my D60 swap and didn't re-install the track bar (or sway bar for that matter). And I have not suffered any ill effects yet. I also did a shackle reversal though...

Just that ol' rabidranger didnt' address the question. He said it would be ok, but then listed one mod necessary to make it ok.
The original poster coulda asked, "Has anyone ever run the 'Con, not taking a single bypass, in a stock Explorer?"
The equivalent of rabid's reply would have been: "I just finished running the 'Con in a stock Explorer, didnt' take any bypasses and have suffered no ill effects. I did lift it, lock it, swap the axles, drop in a 460, install dual 'cases and beadlocks though."

Rabid I know you're excited about your swap dude, but it doesn't apply to everything. I woulda even checked out your swap.....but FTE?? Oh well, I don't want to start a BBS war.

BBS war? I see BBS's the same as I see trucks (Ford, Chevy , Dodge). They all have thier good points and bad. I won't list any for either, but I subscribe to many so I can get a variety of opinions from many sources. I am lazy and didn't feel like typing the same thing for 10 different sites. Pirate does have the best chat section though!!! :D
