I'm putting an onboard air/welder combination on my '76 FJ40 with 2F. I just finished the hard part: Mounting the York compressor. The link shows the pictures on mounting the compressor and it also shows the quick fix for plugging the oil blow-by in York compressors. I plan on mounting a Ford CS130A 130 amp alternator for the welder and plumbing the air tank in the next couple of weeks and I will update the link.

The oil hole plug is the same modification that SabreForce sells you for $75. It might take 15 minutes to do it, including removing and replacing the seal. I found the modification somewhere on the net, but I can't find it any more or I would have just linked to it. It cuts down on the oil blowing out by about 90%.

Off topic, but Pin Head, what's the status of your knock-off factory soft top?

I am mostly finished making the OEM soft top bows except for some of the brackets and attachment points. I still have to look at an original set that a guy in our club owns and measure them. I figured that with the fabric part costing $500 and winter coming on that I would put it on the back burner until next spring.

I didn't find one in OC. I went up to the Pick N Pull on Blinn Ave up in Wilmington just past the LA river on PCH. I made the mistake of going on 1/2 price weekend and had to walk 2 blocks just to get in. I swear I was the only guy there that spoke English.
