O.K. whoever has a 1.6, 16 valve, in a Samurai, with Calmini Tracker PS please help me out with some advice & pics.
Would also be nice if it was a set up that allowed one to flat fender the Zook & easily pipe up a snorkel.
BTW I have the complete 96 16v intake & air box, the stock Samurai air box, plus a 92 Tracker air box to try to use.
Thanks a bunch!
& yes I tried a search:flipoff2:

I am soon going to be doing the swap and am going to mount the intake hose to a Dodge Caravan air box with a K&N filter that will be located inside the passenger compartment. A snorkel is not practical in this instance because the truck likes to roll over too much.

I have an 1.6L 16V SOHC multiport FI Esteem motor and the intake come directly off the front. I am going to make it out of ABS with a couple rubber couplers to hold it together.

K&N right through the hood! From a 5.0 ford. I have comments on occasion, "why is a lampshade on your hood" , and "That is a good place to keep your shriners hat". It sure lets the mighty sammy big block breath! Cooled the water temp considerably also. Here it is if I can get it to post.

I used a small K&N cone filter and it fit on the stock MAF sensor....got rid of the whole air box.

I used muffler tubing to make a new intake. I hooked all of the piece togeter with silicone sleeves from the fast and furious store...

I pulled out the vacumn fittings with pliers and used a grommet to seal them into the new intake. This setup has worked well.
