What exactly is roll center and how does it affect a link suspension? I believe it is the line from the bottom of the uppers to the top of the lowers, but that is about all I know.

Suspension roll center is the plane at which the suspension rotates about. Top view take converging points of uppers and lowers. Then in the side view connect the dots...............

so does this mean that if you get the roll axis is paralell to the ground you won't get articulation steer as the truck flexes? I'm trying to learn all of this for when I build my rear 4 link...

YES.................then your suspension will always articulate perpendicular to the chassis. Read the God Of Sus thread.

Of course thats only at ride height. As the suspension droops and compresses the roll axis changes. But, it is a good indicator of how the suspension works on the street.
