Okay gang, here's where we stand after Part IV. Still looking for some trip leaders & a couple of possible places to wheel (stops 19 & 20 come to mind). "Trip leaders" are responsible for setting meeting times & places, for setting a max # on their group (if need be), and for setting a standard of equipment to be used (if need be). They're also responsible for finding someone to lead the outing (does NOT necessarily have to be the one who sets it up). Anyone want to fill in some more of the blanks? We get closer every time we do this :)

Seems like locations and dates around ATTICA and PARAGON get a bit scrambled...
somewhere in-between Attica and paragon there should be a run with the pittsbugh/ohio clans...

Have you actually taken a map and a pencil and drawn this route...seems like you’re backtracking a few times.

Either way it will be
" A grueling test of endurance of men, machines and livers"

After wheeling in Gilmer a couple of times in the last few months, I am going to suggest that we nix the Gilmer section on the 15th and wheel Clayton on the 15th and 16th, then head up to Disney or Poteau.

While you are in Colorado make sure to run the independance trails, there are some pics in the recent JP mag I think. I am not sure of any must run trails in northern CO, Die trying, Indy, Holy Cross, and road 21 are the only ones that come to mind if you are just passing through. Sounds like a great run!

As far as I'm concerned, it's AWN! I would be surprised if there aren't a couple of adjustments to the schedule. My stop for example (#8) might get pared down to a single day (promoter changing his mind). If it does, I'll find something for y'all to do Sunday or send ya off to IN a day early, whichever everyone prefers. And Wngrog just suggested tweaking the stops in his area. Still, that change shouldn't alter anyone's long-range plans. And I imagine some of the folks who've volunteer will have something come up that they can't make it, or maybe one of the proposed trails will get closed  Otherwise, I say it's a done deal :)

Doing something like
Aug 5: Browns Camp in Or
Aug 7: Kaner/Shoestring/Funny Rocks in Central WA
Aug 8 or 9: Walker Valley or Reiter Trails in Western WA

would be cool, then go to BC after that. Or is that too much??

I'm assuming syko or woody are in good with Troy. His trail is only led by him as far as I know, and last time I checked it was $$$ just to run that one trail. Don't get me wrong, the Badlands is a fun place and I'll definately come over to break parts with ya'll. Anyhow, count me in on Attica and NC. Hope you guys like getting muddy, cuz there ain't much else in KY or TN.

Im good for all three of these trips. I need to talk to Tankota about the Rubicon. I would like to start there. How far is the Rubicon from Seattle? Isnt it only like 14hours away?

I think we need two days in southern B.C. probably a day in the Prince George area too since it is along the way to the Yukon.

From B.C. Govt quick facts page:

B.C.'s total land and freshwater area is 95 million hectares, larger than France and Germany combined. Only 30 countries are larger. British Columbia occupies about 10 per cent of Canada's land surface.

Can't see all of that in one day. :)

I'm in for Troys Trail in Attica....and Monday the 24th would work better for me, tho Tuesday can be done as well.

I DO have an "in" with Troy....I was on the inaugural ride that made all the magazines and have done it a couple times since in small groups, on our own. (I also keep him on my club newsletter list...)

Since this is during the week, with some planning, we probably could talk him into leading with the Sniper....AND, if it expands to a Mon/Tues deal there, we can do different groups each day...probably not a bad idea anyways, since anything over 8-10 trucks on that thing and you could potentially be there from 8am until midnite.

I'll likely be coming down on Friday nite anyways and heading out on Wed morning for home....just TOO many things I wanna to this summer to kill TOO much vacation time!
