I know .....I know !!!!!
Beat me later, but I would like to get some "positive" input on this please fellas..............either a link or advice on a solution. I did do a search and did see the link from [suzuki off road] I think .....about how to block the the vent tube and some other stuff. I don't think this is my problem though.
When I am driving I can push the gas pedal down 1/4 of the way and it runs find, but 1/2 way into the pedal ..the motor flattens out...........now...... if I get all the way into the pedal it runs fine. I know this might be simple to most to figure out, but for me....this is my 1st webber. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance...........

I had a similar problem. A weird hesitation in the lower rpms untill I gassed through it. I bought the rebuild kit from roadless gear and while rebuilding, I noticed a piece of leaf stuck in one of the jets. Runs awsome now.
Try taking the float out and cleaning everything up with carb cleaner. Make sure all hoses are hooked up correctly. Vacum hoses and such. That would be a good start in my opinion.

Sounds like your not getting enough gas under load. This was my initial problem with my weber. Turned out my problem was the float level was set all wrong.
The following link explains how to set it. The important thing to remember is to position the body of the carb top vertically as shown in the picture.

Other things that can effect fuel delivery is the fuel filter, replace it if you haven't lately, fuel pump and the fuel lines. I cleaned and sealed my tank, and blew out all the fuel lines with an air hose when I did my Weber install, but that was more because the tank was rusty inside...
I eventually replace the fuel pump with a stock one, and it did a little better on the road. Finally replacing it with an electric one and a pressure regulator and guage made it much better off-road.

I'll chime in for Norzuki. He has a new pump, regulator, filter, all new fuel lines, super clean tank and all the works. I would think it just needs some fine tuning.
Thanks for the links, they'll help me too as we have the same setup in our Zuks :D

Definetely check the float level then, mine was way off when I checked it. Made a big difference in how it drove.

I'll echo the same regarding the float level setting. Mine was off and correcting it made a huge difference. Problem gone......

Wow !!! thanks for the links and info......... Let me thank Art for giving ya'll that info also. My question is: can the float be adjusted with getting into the carb or will I need to get a rebuild kit b-4 I try to do this. Also I am a rookie on webbers....just to let you know. So if you got to explain anything to me use lamons terms please [LOL]. Later fellas and thanks again.

Alot of times you can pull the top off without tearing the gasket. I never had a problem with mine tearing. That would be the only gasket you would need, if you need it at all. You ccan do it with the carb on the truck.

Madzuki,
Thanks for the advice bud. I pulled the top off the webber and the float seems to move free, but there was some junk in the bottom of the bowl though. I took the top of the webber and hit it with some carb cleaner on the underside where ther float is....made sure to hit it good and heavy. htere was about 1/4 of gas in the bowl just to let you know. I got the gas out and sprayed some carb cleaner in there and let it set for a bit.... then cleaned it out. I put the top of the webber back on / hooked everything back up. I turned the key and fired it up but it ran for about 2 sec's and died. I walked around to see what tha tprob was and I had my regulator turned down / off. So ........... I turned it up to 2 psi and cranked it again......still does the same thing.
So now it's trouble shooting time. The pump is running but only pushing out about a little better than a drip of fuel without the regulator hooked up. What could be my problem here guys?

i used a filter that was for a mopar pick-up truck because it has a fuel retun tube built into it.......i dont know how much pressure is actualy getting to the webber but i can tell you it works fine for me...........................
the only real problem ive had with the webber is keeping the dang adapter/carb/manifold bolts tight enough to not suck air....
use lots of loc-tite on the adapter and carb bolts and it wont give you many problems.......its kinda like a tune up thing .....
when you do a tune up take the carb off and reloc-tite the bolts, nuts, and studs once a year and i dont think you will have problems between tune ups............
ive had my webber about 5 years now and i have never cracked it open.....its a good carb i just think people get too fancy with how they set them up......and like i s aid above the only issue i have had with mine is the adapter hardware failing to stay tight...........................................
