I'm looking for advice on shipping axles. i called up freightpro and they have a good price but say I have to crate it up or put it on a pallet. Any way around this or other places to ship through?
thanks

Nope, most places require a pallet minimum. Other places require an enclosed crate.

I think either way when shipping an axle your going to have to crate it up... Not like it would be hard anyways. take some 2x4's and make a frame. Strap the axle to it and walla :D

thanks for advice. probably just strap it to a pallet. was mainly worried cause that takes up more space that they would charge more for it but don't think they do now.

Man Michael, You better take a jar full of quarters with you to the car wash. Them things are dirty. But gonna look good under your Migo.:p
Brings back almost fond memories.
Glad to see them at the house now.
Get busy and we'll see ya soon.

They go by weight. Just strap those things to a palet and ship it

They usually have the best rates, only catch is you hafta take 'em to the dock at the airport. Go to the given link and check out where you would have to go to. Most often its worth the trip!!

Ive been wanting to find a cheap freight system from Anchorage, Alaska to Seattle. I havent gone as far as calling around yet, but that town is front d60 land. They use so many 1tons up on the slope and around Alaska in general and most end up in Anchorage. I would love to buy a boatload of them up there and ship them down but by the time I buy them and ship them I would have to get 1200 at least. So thats why no one else has done it.
