After a long drawn fight with a certain company that shall remain nameless, they have given in and offered me a new laptop. To make a long story short, we've only owned this new computer for 6 months and it's been in repair for 4 of those 6 months. After alot of fighting we just got the call that they are going to take it in the shorts and make it right. So, what should I go get?

There was a thread recently on this very subject. I have a new Dell Latitude 650, 2.4ghz P4, 512mb RAM, cd burner, docking station with 19" LCD screen. Running Win2000. Love it.

I really wish that I could buy a Dell, those are by far the best. The other option that we are considering is to get the new one, sell it and buy a dell.

I've owned TWO Sony Vaios and I absolutely LOVE them. Just .02.

i provide support at work and the longest running laptops we have are the thinkpads...everything else dies within 1-3 years hell there are still 560's (133mghrtz - older then sin) floatin around and are runnin like champs!

our new standard is the fujitsu thin and light...this laptop is just plain sexy! But being so new i cannot comment on there durability.

Well, I got it. I choose the Toshiba cause it's the only kind that they sell that I haven't had yet, and all the others are crap. Hopefully this one won't be. It's twice as good as my last one, that's the best thing about it.
