Just curious if anybody would be interested in doing a 1.6L swap for me? I don't have a sammy now but if I got one who could I pay to do it? How much would you charge? I might be willing to travel. Let me know. Thanks

How much would you charge me to do it? Would I need to find the motor or would you. I don't mind finding the motor but I would just like a solid running motor and I recognize my limits. Engine stuff is just not my cup of tea. Remember if I do this it probably won't be for another month. Hopefully sooner. Thanks

you dont work on engines and you wanna wheel in the great southwest.......this is one of those rare combo,s that create the need for search and rescue teams.......just do us a favor and never wheel by your self i think this is why you always see heeps in big groups out on the trails they dont know how to fix there own shiat either.........i could do the swap for you it takes 4 hours or less to change a sammy motor thats carbed.......im am really surprised to read a post like this:rolleyes:

Well I have a friend that bought a Samurai because he couldn't afford a Jeep and he won't even think about getting his hands dirty. So I charge the crap out of him for everything, he's lucky he hasn't broken on the trail yet. I don't think he knows how to change his oil. That's pretty scary for a Sammy that wheels on 33s with 5 psi in the tires and a whole lotta wheel hop.

I don't drive a jeep at all. And I am sorry your so disapointed in me. I know I could probable do it but I don't have the time and I know that some of the guys on the board could do it in there sleep. I can a motor no prob but putting one in that runs I am not so sure. I can do a lot a work. This may sound funny but I have a Auto two wheel drive toyota pickup that I converted to a 4wd drive manual with dual cases and straight axle on 38's. Now ask how many guys would try to do that. But change a motor? I'm just scared and no time. Oh well :( :D
