we sure cruised along nicely... cruise control's a sweet feature... just to bad when the reain hit i couldn't see the road :(

I finished first, Moto finished second.

Sadly, the guy in third place was a Heep driver and he complained to the judges sunday morning that our wheelbase wasn't legal in a vain attempt to get us both DQ'd, 'cause that was the only way he could win!! Luckily the judges just laughed at him...

I am not going to say his name out of respect but the one of the team members was the one making a fuss about the wheelbase, lets just say that i really didnt expect it from you dude and If you read this than dont think I am bashing you but look at the big picture, you are a big name dude and there was no reason to hate on some locals over such a minut thing. it was nice meeting a few of you, to clear up the wheelbase bs rules are rules if you want to play the game expect to be held accountable for the modifications you make to your vehicles. If you think i was making a fuss try going out and playing with the regulars in one of the series.
to set the record straight nobody tried to get anybody DQ'd, i told the tech'ing judge i had a concern about the wheelbase at tech on friday, it's not there job to enforce those rules unless a protest is filed. sunday morning i talked to Rich sr. about it, there was no advantage to having the xtra wb, so it was dropped and rich said he would talk to the guy involved.

Thanks, and no hard feelings either. Competitions can bring out some good things and bad things in a person in the heat of the moment.

Oh, and about the "rules are rules" "expect to be held accountable" comment, I read all the rules and talked to Big Rich several times before the event, and my samurai is well within the wheelbase limits. I remember seeing quite a few rule infractions by some other teams (*cough* red heep), so don't be lecturing us on rules :mad: You talk as if you have gone and played with the regulars before, but by the way your team drove and obeyed the rules you could have fooled me :flipoff2:

again, no hard feeling, hope to see you again at future NW events so that we can have another go at it and see if it was just luck on our part to win this one.

Hehehe.....sort of repainted it :D It's a spraycan work in progress. I think it's gonna end up all black, except the red center hood. Not sure about the roll cage and other tube stuff, may go all grey with it.

Not sure if anyone got pics of Moto :confused: I haven't seen any yet, but if I do I'll try posting them.

Small world!! I've taken Jeff out on several adventures in the zuk, and a couple when his jeep was stock. He's a great guy. Hope he gets his rig finished soon....
