I just got an e-mail from someone who bought one of my T-Case Savers. He said that he had to notch the reinforceing rib because it interferred with his linkage.

Has anyone else had any installation problems such as this?

I've sold several hundred of these things and I've heard only positive feedback. If anyone does have any comments, please let me know. I want to be sure that my customers are happy with my product.

Don - I put one on my 4 speed case and have no problems whatsoever - maybe this guy has some sort of custom linkage set-up - or has incorrectly installed it?? Andy

Nope! I've got your plate on top of my '78 case, and no probs. It fit fine on my old '76 case too.

Is that a John Pardi plate bolted to the backside ? John does nice work.

My 69 tcase didn't want to line up the hole on the top brace, I had to ream it out 1 size to get the top bolt through, other than that it fit nicely.

I bought your plate and had it on in minutes and without any problems whatsoever. In fact, when the rest of my drivline decided to fly out onto the freeway the plate on top is all that kept my tcase together. My TH400 case split in 1/2 and my rear pinion sheared, and the ebrake drum is somewhere on the freeway in Curtain Oregon, but all that happened to the tcase is your plate got stressed and the paint chipped off. The few bucks for the plate saved me having to buy a tcase on top of all the other parts that I had to buy. Thing kicks butt!

That's John Pardi's ( pardi@d-web.com ) plate. It is a good design, and I credit it along with Don's plate for keeping that Toyota tcase in one piece. John says he's intentionally run a cracked tcase, held together by his plate, through the rubicon to show that it works.

My drivelines flew out because I was towing it on a dolly and somehow the tcase engaged and since I did not remove the drivelines everything went to shit! <IMG SRC="smilies/frown.gif" border="0"> Go figure that the drivetrain doesn't like suddenly being put into 4wd at 65 mph. <IMG SRC="smilies/eek.gif" border="0"> Hard lesson learned-- always remove the driveshafts when towing. It looked like if I was flat towing it the thing would have grabbed more and flipped over. Oh well, stuff happens and I'll make the Rubithon next year-wtih a vehicle, and an SM420 instead of that damn TH400.
