I guess not everyone reads the BBS forums rules before they sign up and hit the "I Agree" button! I'm sorry to have to be the ass here, but this is a business and we do have rules to people selling there products without permission on our website.

For the most part we do not have any issues with advertising on sig lines or with screen names, but we must draw the line somwhere. So please do not advertise your products on this forum without at least speaking with me about it first. In some cases it may be ok, but in most cases it is not.

However if you'd like to talk about advertising your product or company, feel free to email or PM Lance or I. Thanks,

Hey Jeff, is it still cool to list personal Cruiser related parts you're trying to get rid of?

What about stuff like decals and emblems that members design and want to sell/distribute? I know I've been wanting to do a production run on my "Iron Pig" decal and been working on some sort of Cruiser emblem. Just wondering if stuff like that is kosher as long as it's not an actual business thing being done...

I believe that is the EXACT stuff Jeff is reffering to. Items which you manufacture for sale, regardless of hard parts, stickers, apparrel, or otherwise, falls under the "vendor" limitations set by the pirate4x4.com guidelines. This is irregardless of whether or not you do it under a "real" business name or if it's just something for fun on the side, and regardless of your profit intentions.

You have a few options...one is in your signature line. Another is thru your avatar (for red star peeps). Both are borderline but accepted practices on the PBB.

Selling of your parts is different in that you didn't manufacture the product for sale, but are cleaning out the junk you no longer need.

Guess I'll just have to pay and get an avatar :D

It got me curious since I'm not an actual vendor. I just wanna show off my shit but make enough back to cover the production runs. Though I think you've all seen this little guy anyway (not selling it [yet], just showing off my design skillz):

I guess I agree, imagine if everyone started pimping their shit. Like that company in Cal. with the chrome fender flares when they were trying to go out of business... And the guy had three posts

Anyways, I told Rico, he should make a site like everyone else and stick it in his sig ;) I think they're so cool they'll catch on anyways...

But honestly I was pimping his shit cause he have a whole bunch to the piggers and because I honestly thought it was a cool sticker... Sorry about that! (Trust me, there was no conspiracy here)... :)

Not a problem, I've never had a problem with that.

Woody, thanks for explaining that for me!

Dude I said I'm not selling it at this point, though I'd be lying if I say I don't want to. I just don't have any way of mass producing it or any money to have it done. When I have something to sell I'll send DW a PM or stick it in my sig.

IOW: Yes I get it, I'm just a show/jerk off :flipoff2:
