Maybe his posts suck so badly that they're killing themselves off slowly?

BTW, after 100, no, after TEN fawking posts on this BB you should KNOW better than to post this crap ANYWHERE. ESPECIALLY outside Chit Chat. Right back at you >>> <<<

Is that what the NC school system taught you? Try again in 9 posts asshat. And you might as well wait until next month, since it's only been three months since you signed up.

Or we could just take over his thread entirely and just ignore him.

right on, that's why I'm here, doing the Forestry program. Got another 3 years and then off with the U.S. Forest Service. Be able to retire fairly young, full government benefits. I'm guessing you wheel right? It seems I'm the only one up here who has a slightly modified vehicle, only SAS toyota in town as far as I know. Maybe we can keep in touch and go wheeling next year when you come. They have some decent trails I've checked out over the past few weeks since school started. Wait, I think i just jacked the thread. SAWEEEEEEEEET!

Huh. I gave up on trying to count my posts, so I hacked the server, and gave myself a big number, and a red star.

What thread?

Thats cool, im going into engineering. And yes, I wheel... why else would I be here? :flipoff2:

I've got 2 yotas, a DD and a wheeler, wheeler is currently in a sad state till I find more money. G/F has a 4runner, which we'll probably toss a soft locker in the rear.

Hows the weather up there? God bless the cold!

weather is starting to get cold. I'm trying to get a job up at the ski resort for this winter, we'll see what happens. Damn for a guy that is only 19 you've picked up quite a few vehicles in your time. So I'm assuming that you are starting next fall eh? What is your major or are you undecided?

Engineering :D

Im split on mechanical and electronical, I might do both, I dont know. Leaning towards ME though, for sure.

Its nice finally having my dad tell me he really IS going to pay for my college. Believe me, its NO skin off his back!! So, I might stay there for a long time pursuing several fields :)

Its an interesting reason why I have two trucks....

My mom gave me their old beat up raggety 83 truck, which was a beater. and FUCK was it beat. I went through the process of making it look nice again, I got a new bed, painted it, it looked great.

Then it was stolen. My dad felt soooo bad for me because I put a LOT of work into the truck that he got me the 82. He got it for pretty cheap, and it needed a buncha work, so we got it back into shape. Then the 83 came back 5 months later in PERFECT condition. It was actually in better mechanical condition than it was when it left, new exhaust, fuel pump, some wiring, new seats, they still stole my tools, radios and cb though :( BUT I WAS STILL ESTATIC!!

My Dad told me I couldnt have both; so, I bought the 83 for the low low price of only 2k. He now refuses to take payment for it, but insists its mine :D He can really be an asshole at times, but other times he's reallly awesome.

So, now I have two, the 82 is PERFECTLY straight, engines a bit tired, and it has its problems now and then, but still great. The 83 is half apart, waiting until I get money for axles, then its coils and a lots of thinking (links).

My g/f's truck, is well, my g/fs truck. Her dad is giving me his 83 ford Camper, which im turning into a flatbed car hauler. Which will probably go with me too. This is assuming I can get 4 parking spaces. I'll probably rent a house with her and maybe a few others; because I neeeeed a garage ;)

Do you live on campus or what? How hard are jobs to find there? I might be coming down during winter break or something... I might have to stop by and say hello

funny you ask about jobs cause damn is it hard to come up with a decent one. I began applying in mid July to a couple fine dining restaurants in the area. Both called me the NEXT DAY requesting an interview. Well I went in and got interviewed for both, both of which wanted to hire me one the spot. I told them I was unable to move at the time because move in date for the dorms was August 20th. They said they would be able to hold a position for me till I couldmove up. Well I call them back a week prior to moving up and neither one has a spot for me. I've since applied at 20 places and haven't got a call back from a single one. Funny thing is I've been in the restaurant industry for 4 years now and have a lot of knowledge about how it works. Basically I had to leave my job in Prescott (about 100 miles south of Flag) which was earning me $2000 a month on average. For a serving position working 4 nights a week, that is pretty damn good. At any rate, I'll be lucky to find a job up here that gets me even $800 a month. I always had extra cash to dump into my rig before, now I'm flat broke all the time. I am continuing to apply everywhere and I go way above and beyond the typical "turn in an application". Since I like to stand out a bit I turn in my resume along ith a couple letters of recommendation. No reason why someone wouldn't take a second look at one of my portfolios. At any rate, the process has been very difficult so your best bet is to move on mid summer if possible, and find a job before all the students move back and nab all the open positions. Yeah if you plan on coming in the winter time, just throw me a PM or something, maybe we could hang out, check out the University. BTW, I do live on campus in Taylor Dorm. It really is one of the nicer dorms, it is located in the Northern part of campus and its a very nice area. Green tress, lawns, ferns growing everywhere. I like the town I just need to find a job soon! You don't happen to snowboard do you?

I tried snowboarding once.... it HURT, havent bothered since. I'll probably look into it though, just because.

Im more of a computer nerd myself, I currently work at a huge RV dealership maintaining the online inventory, and doing all their computer stuff (setting up VPN's, networking, stupid user issues, etc) I'll probably be a Cisco Certified Network Associate in a year, so I'll have that goin for me too.

Planning on moving over right when school ends to get a jumpstart (August). Are there any RV dealerships around that might be looking for a similar service? :D If not I might go into sales... I've watched enough of em happen, and I know just about every unit inside and out. Who knows.

Dorms sound nice, how bad is housing over there?

PS-Excuse the long response times, school and work all day ;)

Housing is expensive as you would expect for somewhat of a ski resort town/university town. Sounds like experience you have should land you a job fairly easily. I think there are four or five up here so you just might be set. I'd recommend making a little trip to check out the scene first. Keep me in mind so if/when you make a trip maybe we can chill or something.

From what I saw it looked cheaper/on par with Sacramento.

Four or five? hell yah! I was hoping for one ;)

I will definetely hit you up before I decide to come on down :)
