Hey Dodge lovers, I am planning on putting a fixed yoke on my Blazer which has a slip yoke NP241. I was told that some Dodges came with the 241, and that it had a fixed yoke. Can anybody verify this? What year/model?
Thanks,
Nate

I'm interested to hear what other people have to say about this as well. The only thing I've ever found is the GM 241's (attached to a 700r4) are 27-spline input. Can't remember what Dodge's come with, but it's different. This could be corrected by tearing down your tranny and getting a new output shaft, but that's costly.
I have never come across a Dodge unit cheap enough to tear it down and start tinkering. But when I started kicking this idea around, it seems the general concensus was it was cheaper/easier to get a JB Conversions SYE kit than trying to retrofit the Dodge unit in a GM. If you do it, keep us updated on your progress.
Good luck!!

Dodge started using 241's in `88, and were in Ramchargers,1/2tons and gas powered 3/4 tons. All of these 241's until `94 had bolt on yokes that I've seen. As far as input's go the auto's should be 23 spline, don't know on the manual version.

Yep, we got a 90 RC and it has a fixed yoke. The 86 I have has a fixed rear yoke too.
