You said that you had bought a 6'' extension from TPI. Is this extension a hardline or flex? I tried to hook 2 flex lines together today and the rubber hose(from chain auto supplier)had shorter threads than the stock old rubber hose. It leaked at the tee on the pumpkin. Around here its hard to find anyone to make brake lines for liability reasons, but I need at least an 18''hose I think. My ss hose now is 14'' and with the rig on jackstands, the line is tight as a banjo string. <IMG SRC="smilies/mad.gif" border="0">

With the Toyota flex lines (10mm 1.0) you can hook up two lines together no problem,you can find all kinds male\male,male\female at the junkyards,you can get them from Toyota cars too.

I went through that when I built my centered rear.

I used a brake line from O Rileys. It was a British thread brake line. They had two types of foreign lines, japanese and british. The british were deeper threads and worked great. I did have a double flare tool to make the other end work.

The ones from TPI are exact replacements for the stock rubber hoses. Like stated above, you just thread both together to make one long one. Did you extend your wheelbase?

Because the 6" extensions worked great for me...
For $20 a piece, i woould buy those instead of going to a junkyard, just because they are brand new.
